What ACinch Actually Is

Let me be clear about what ACinch is not: it's not a workflow automation platform. We're not trying to compete with Zapier, Make, or n8n.

ACinch is an enterprise collaboration hub and enterprise search platform. We provide a single source of truth for all information related to daily work within a company.

That distinction matters enormously.

Workflow Automation vs. Collaboration Hub

Workflow automation tools move data from point A to point B. When something happens in one system, they trigger an action in another. They're plumbing—essential, but invisible. ACinch's search understands relationships. Our Refractive Graph Propagation technology computes contextual, directional similarity—so when you search from a sales context, you get sales-relevant results. When you search from an engineering context, different connections illuminate.

Empowering Your Automation Stack

Here's where it gets interesting: ACinch doesn't compete with workflow automation tools—we make them more powerful.

Platforms like Zapier, Make, and n8n are excellent at connecting applications. But managing dozens of individual integrations becomes complex. Each app needs its own authentication, its own configuration, its own maintenance.

ACinch can serve as the hub that these automation platforms connect to. Instead of building separate integrations to Slack AND Jira AND Salesforce AND GitHub, automation tools can connect to ACinch and access the unified activity stream. One connection, all your tools.

Why I Built This

I've spent my career living this problem.

For years, I worked as a consultant building enterprise collaboration solutions. Using tools like SharePoint, I helped create some of the largest collaboration portals in the world. I've seen what works and what doesn't at scale.

My clients included financial services giants like PayPal and Visa, where compliance and security requirements made collaboration even harder. I worked with industry leaders like eBay and Facebook, where the pace of work demanded tools that could keep up.

What I learned: even the best-resourced organizations struggle with the same fragmentation problems. More tools don't solve the problem—they make it worse. Custom development is expensive and fragile. All-in-one suites can't keep up with specialized tools.

The solution isn't more integration. It's a fundamentally different approach—a hub that makes work visible without requiring everyone to change how they work.
